Here is the CF to Sega CF guide as promised. It doesn't have as many pictures as I would have liked or go into as much detail as I had planned. I will most likely update it in future but it has all the infomation you need to make your own. Also remember you can use any IDE CF reader, I just chose the Unitek as it came in a nice case. :)

Happy modding.

ReplyDeleteAwesome! So now I need to find the hacked bios...
ReplyDeleteany link for the hacked bios?
ReplyDeleteI think you need to update your Dimm to version 4.0 before this will work, just like with the official Sega Compact Flash adapter.
ReplyDeleteAce,
ReplyDeleteExcellent!! I was dismissing the Sega Mod at over £200, and someone on Arcade Otaku pointed me in this direction! Since i'm handy with an iron i'll give it a go :)
Unfortunately CPC seem to have discontinued the SCSI-2/50 Way PCI slot converter, so i'm currently searching for a suitable replacement - will let you know if i find one - if you know of one could you let us know please?
Thanks again
Paul
This is awesome. We've got two Maximum Tunes and Outrun 2 SP's in the warehouse gathering dust due to GD ROM problems. Can't wait to try this out.

Hey, Nice work Ace! ... I'm interested in making a Zero Key Pic chip for the Naomi CF drive. Need to know what type of chip I should use for the Pic chip. And where can I download the 0 Key file?
